Calm

This picture speaks about the importance of keeping calm, especially in uneasy times.

Its the only way of solving difficulties. 

There is an ascetic monk with his eyes closed, holding a skull which represents one of the biggest human fears, death.

His relaxed attitude brings harmony (represented by flowers), even though he is in the middle of turbulence, holding death.

The uneasiness is symbolized by the bats attack, and the spiral.

Communication

This picture represents the act of communicating. How amazing is when this happens. No matter between what living form it happens. The arrows represent the information. The skulls represent all human beings, and mouths represent what really distinguishes us, our ideas.
           
                                                                      About love

This one symbolizes the feeling of love. A state of mind that is able to see through any kind of barrier (represented by the yellow and black area). And put ourselves in a position in which we are willing to give our own heart.

                                                                      State of Mind

This drawing speaks about a state of mind that is inherited in every one of us.

Insanity. Where is the border between sanity and an insane state of mind???  Everybody has an individual way of thinking, who rules the parameters of sanity then???

Different heads represent different people, different ways of looking at reality, different points where is considered that insanity starts.

The fish shoal represents harmony and stability of the mind. All move at once, none of them differs in anything , it can be considered that they all are in a sane state of mind. 

Fear

                                                  

Those two images represent the fear about the unknown. In this case the unknown is the future.

 It the image of the birds, the fear is represented by the crows which lock the parrot´s way, (the parrot represents any individual who feels the fear), the parrot should break the fear barrier.

In the image where the woman is with the eyes closed, the fear is represented by the question mark.

The woman appears with the eyes closed because she cannot see the future, which is the cause of her fear.

The birds represent the absence of fear which means:  freedom.

The sculpture with the arrows represents what happens if you let Fear get you.

                                                                         Protection

These three images speak about protection.

In the first one, the crows represent danger (fear), and protection comes from the mind (represented by the turtle) if we can confront fear, danger diminishes automatically. Because the most dangerous thing in life, is fear.

In the second picture, (the one with the African mask) the mask represents fear and the hands stop it by touching it, by confronting it. That’s the only way possible to protection.

The third one speaks about protection also. The snake represents danger, and the union of hands, the protection against it. This means that love (union of hands) is the most powerful weapon against any kind of harm.

                                                                               Life

     

This image speaks about the condition of life, a constant state of fight.

Fighting for a dream, fighting for the life we want, fighting for our happiness.

Happiness depends on the way oneself looks at reality, that could seem easy,

but some times a positive attitude requires a great effort.

So hens symbolize humans, they try to get the flies that represent our dreams and our happiness, but these flies are behind a fence which symbolizes difficulties in our lifes.

                                                                   

                                                                        Society

This drawing speaks about today´s society. People move not as individuals, but as part of a big group, represented here by the earth globe.

The globe is in a box that symbolizes today´s general mentality. Everyone live a very similar life, do the same things as everybody else, think the same way, dream about the same things….. and when someone differs from this way of existence, then, is seen like an alienated individual. This different individual who doesn´t fit in ours today´s civilization is represented by the devil.

The birds on the drawing represent the fear to differences.

                                                                      Self-portrait

This one is a self portrait. 

 It represents my mind, a mind scared about the future. This fear is represented by a snake, a snake that doesn’t allow you to move.

I am represented riding a flying bird situated over a world map. This means my actual objective: being able to live and move around the world with no fears for the uncertain future that is ahead of me. The turtles represent security and  strength, they walk slowly but they never stop.
